To the side of the Hall, centred on a decorative pond, and overlooking the miniature parkland, is our orchard. This is where our delightful Gothick Temple is located, which allows our couples the very rare opportunity in this country of an outdoor wedding ceremony.

Unlike in other countries such as the United States, weddings are not permitted in England in the open air as such. However, our Gothick Temple is a permanent building and has been granted a licence for marriages. So long as the bride, groom, registrar and witnesses are seated inside the Temple, its doors may be wide open to the beauty of the orchard setting, with up to 150 of your guests seated in the open air directly outside. This clever solution allows you the pleasure of an "outdoor" ceremony whilst complying completely with all legal requirements for a valid civil marriage.

Our discreet sound system will even allow the guests to share your moment of intimacy as you exchange your vows - should you so wish it!
